Studebaker SB3703PB Joggable Personal CD/MP3 Player with Audio Book Compatibility, Bookmark Feature and FM PLL Radio - Pink/Black

My Mom asked me for a portable CD player so she could play her CD's when she exercised. I bought her another brand and the CD wouldn't even play, only the radio worked. Then I found this cute, retro style player and it's pink, her favorite color. The CD's play great and the radio gets crystal clear reception. Good price, too.

My first one would only play FM radio. They sent me a replacement, without asking for one. What a difference. The one that was sent was just what wanted!. Everything works beautifully! It was such I nice surprise when I got it. I tried to find my old review so that I could change it. But, I can't find it. This player is excellent! I would recommend this player to everyone. I give it a 5 star rating, which means you can't get a better portable music player. CD and FM work like a charm!

So the earbuds this comes with are crap. I would recommend using your own. I use headphones and the sound quality of this little player is pretty good. I used this CD player for 2 days straight upon receiving it and on the third day it stopped working. It wasn’t the third consecutive day, let me make that clear. It was probably a week later and that was the reason I almost sent this back for a refund. My mistake was leaving the batteries in the CD player for the 4-5 days I wasn’t using it. The directions clearly say not to do that and I knew that information BEFORE leaving the batteries in but still didn’t pay any mind to the instructions. So after getting over myself, I put in new batteries and the player works perfectly. Lesson learned. They have instructions for a reason. ;)We’ll see how the battery life is when I actually take the batteries out while not using. For now it seems like 2 days is the battery life and that ain’t good. I will revise my review if it’s any better.

I ordered the Studebaker SB3703PB Retro Joggable Personal AM/FM CD Player- Pink/Black but what I got was only FM. Since Amazon really has no mechanism to complain other than its vague return policy, I kept the device but reluctantly. I wanted AM/FM because I am bilingual and I like to listen to AM radio in Spanish, especially Liga MX soccer games and MLS games in Spanish. So, while the Studebaker SB3703PB Retro Joggable Personal AM/FM CD Player- Pink/Black is OK, that Amazon continues to advertise the product as AM/FM when it is FM only is deceptive. Amazon is getting sloppy.An update: the Studebaker AM/FM CD player I owned prior to this was quality. But this PPL FM CD player is AWFUL. When you turn it off and then back on, it does not hold the settings (e.g., if I was listening to FM radio at a reduced volume level, when turned on again, it starts at the CD player mode and the volume is at highest level). The AM/FM model would hold whatever settings were in effect. I do NOT recommend this product AT ALL.

I've been looking for a portable CD player for quite some time, but all of the one's I found took batteries only. Knowing that these portable players chew up batteries like crazy, I gave up searching. I saw this model in a magazine & was excited to see I could operate it with the included USB cord, as well as with batteries. I looked it up online & found it cheaper at Amazon, so I ordered it & have been enjoying it ever since. Hubby and I sit on the porch in the evening, listening to our tunes now, enjoying the consistent great sound coming from our new player. I use the USB cord to plug into my battery pack, and I plug my JBL speaker into the earphone jack for some seriously great sound. I then push the Bass Boost button on the side for an extra pop of goodness. Have played it several times with zero issues & am a very happy camper.

I am an old person and I can't always get out to walk so I rely on the treadmill in the little gym at the back of my apartment building. But I find it incredibly boring - I bought this portable CD player so I could listen to books on CD. Right now I'm listening to an installment of "The Number 1 Ladies' Detective Agency". It works! Sometimes I'll do extra walking just so I can finish an especially interesting part of the story. The CD player has worked well so far.The sound quality is fine for me but I can't speak to how it would be to listen to music.

I love this cd player and that it’s portable but the headphones are slightly uncomfortable, and when u switch to personal earbuds the sound is way too loud so u can only use these earbuds. But it’s nice for a portable cd player

I do not use it anymore, put it in the draw, I like to listen to music when I cut the grass., But it skips if I walk too fast and they said you can jog, NO WAY. I WOULDN'T EVEN PAY 20.00 DOLLARS FOR THIS.
